What I Do

So you've invested thousands of dollars, months of effort and maybe even left a previous career in order to follow your dreams of becoming a software developer. You've heard legends of places where beer flows like wine, snacks appear with the wave of a hand, and there's an in-office masseuse. Now let's make sure you get the most out of the investment by getting a job at one of these mythical places! I provide guidance with job application strategies, interview prep, and salary negotiations to help you get there. Knowing what you're doing during these key steps makes a world of difference in deciding the trajectory of your career.

Why Get Extra Help

After meeting tons of code school grads at meetups, interviewing dozens at my job, and being one myself, I've realized that code schools just don't provide the job hunting guidance that's needed. They have no real motivation to help you find the job you actually want at salary you want. This means lessons on salary negotiation or even basic job application strategies are lackluster.

Not knowing what you're doing while finding your first job can mean hundreds of thousands of dollars of lost income over the course of your career. It's worth it to make sure you're doing it right!

What You Get

Job Applications Strategies

I promise, this isn't a resume writing seminar. We'll put together plans for every step of the application process with the goal of getting the most offers and the highest likelihood of getting competing offers.
More jobs offers === more money!

Interview Preparation

Oh sure, I have some interview preparation tips. But you know what? I'll give you the biggest one for free. Do it! Lots of it! Boom. Done.
But really, I am here for you to practice with and have some really great resources for improving interviewing skills.

Salary Negotiations

Deep down, we all know how important negotiating is, but it's scary as shit. Well fear no more. I am here to literally hold your hand through the whole thing. And I am not using "literally" incorrectly there. If it'll help, I can actually be by your side with fingers interlocked.

Basic salary negotiation skills are necessary, but having someone there to give you the push to actually negotiate can be the most helpful of all.

Helpful Tools

Beyond the guidance, I've gathered and created some really helpful tools for organizing your messy ass. Managing a proper job application strategy requires organization and planning that our measly little brains just can't handle. So let computers do it for you.
